1. Which wineries do we visit on the tour?

We've hand-selected the wineries on our tours based upon several factors including wine quality, customer service and over-all winery ambience. We don't adhere to a strict schedule during our tours. Our itineraries are customized based upon guest feedback and also upon the best winery experiences/wines available each particular day. Rockin' Wine has unique relationships with several local Temecula Wineries and have been given special behind-the-scenes access and perks because of this. Our tours often receive special attention and wines not available to the general public because, after all you are on a Rockin' Wine Tour! We've dedicated a lot of time developing our itineraries, building relationships with the wineries and also listening to customer feedback to create the best tour possible. Trust us, you won't be disappointed!

2.  How long do we spend at each winery?

We visit three Temecula wineries and spend about an hour at each winery.  You can plan to spend approximately three and half to four hours on a Rockin' Wine tour, including pickup, travel time, tasting and drop off. If you interested in a longer tour, you can contact our office about arranging a private tour.

3. Are the wine tastings included in the tour price?

Yes, we include an average of five to six wine tastings per winery. We will visit at least three wineries on our tour. That's a total of approximately 18 tastings or the equivalent of three glasses of wine. Additional tastings can be purchased directly from the wineries. The winery fee for a tasting ranges from $10-$20 per person.

4. Is Gratuity included or expected?

Gratuities are not included with the price of the tour but always appreciated. It is customary to tip your tour guide and wine pourer if you feel they have done a good job, let them know.  The industry standard is 15-20%.

5. Can we request a winery to visit?
Of course, if there is a specific winery you would like to visit, please mention it to our booking agents and we will do our best to work it into our tour. You will be responsible for the tasting fees at wineries that deviate from our standard tour.

6. How many people are on each tour?

The minimum amount of guests for a private tour is 8 with no maximum. We have multiple rockin' party buses of various styles and sizes!

7. Do the tours get cancelled due to weather?

Our tours will commence, rain or shine and you'll have a great time in the rain, sunny weather or anything in between!

8. Is there food included on the tour?

Yes, we offer a gourmet cheese platter at the halfway point of each tour.

9. What should I wear during my wine tasting tour?

Dress up or dress casual, it's entirely up to you. Temecula's winter temperatures average around 60 degrees in the daytime. Spring and autumn temps are around 70 and summer highs can reach into the 100's. Temecula has a cool ocean breeze in the evenings so you might want to bring a coat or sweater if you are doing one of our afternoon tours.

10. Where do we get picked up from?

We will pick you up and drop you off either at your hotel or another local landmark, as long as it's within Temecula. Want to be dropped off at a specific restaurant or other tourist destination, please arrange it with our friendly drivers.

11. What type of wines will I find in Temecula Wineries?

15.  Will I be allowed to bring my own alcohol on the tour?

Please remember to drink responsibly. The Wineries frown upon visitors bringing their own alcohol onto winery grounds. They will refuse to serve over-imbibers, even if you are not driving. It's the law. If you are removed or barred from a winery the cost of your tour will not be refunded. We are a proud member of the Temecula Valley Wine Growers Association and adhere to their rules for their Responsible Partner Program Agreement. You can view the TVWGA rules for wine tasting etiquette here.
